Issac Walter Jenner, 1888, Brisbane from Bowen Terrace, New Farm

At only 14.5 x 21.8cm, this oil painting contains an immense amount of detail detailing the emerging colony of Queensland and town of Brisbane. Jenner served in the British Royal Navy before moving to Brisbane in 1883. His experience maintaining vessels is put to use in his extremely fine depiction of the complex rigging used at sea.
